Technical Officer (X2):  Mechanical Engineering

Post specific requirements:

  • B Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Bachelor of Science plus one year’s appropriate experience.

 

Duties:

  • Develop and maintain laboratories used for undergraduate practicals and postgraduate research.
  • Manage and conduct practicals for National Diploma: Mechanical Engineering
  • Manage the housekeeping and maintenance of the new pedagogic and test laboratory equipment and related machines, equipment and tools, to ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
  • Ensure a safe environment for students and staff in laboratories 

 

Recommendations:

  • Laboratory / workshop experience will be an advantage
  • Willingness to participate in community project/activities

 

Salary                          :           Remuneration is commensurate with the seniority of the position

Assumption of duty      :           As soon as possible
