Midvaal Local Municipality: Financial Management Internship Programme 2015

Ref: MIN 1112/14

Duties

Assist with the billing process (rates and service charges)
Assist with customer care in the income section (customer queries, complaints etc.)
Assist with cashiering when required
Assist with the completion of National Treasury reporting templates
Assist with the compilation of recons for the Income division
Other administrative functions within the Income division

Requirements

A recognized B-com degree or Diploma with at least Accounting I, II, III as subjects or equivalent
Must be computer literate and have knowledge of windows spreadsheet application
Valid code 08 driver’s license

 

Midvaal Local Municipality: Financial Management- Expenditure Internship Programme 2015

Duties

Assist with the SCM and creditors payment process
Assist with the compilation of records for the Expenditure division
Assist with the completion of National Treasury reporting templates
Assist with asset verification
Other administrative functions within the Expenditure division

Requirements

A recognized B-com degree or Diploma with at least Accounting I, II, III as subjects or equivalent
Must be computer literate and have knowledge of windows spreadsheet application
Valid code 08 driver’s license

 

Midvaal Local Municipality: Junior Fire Fighter Internship Programme 2015

Ref: MIN 1100/14

Duties

Provide a comprehensive fire fighting service to the community.
Testing and maintenance of the equipment:
Checking if all equipment on vehicles is clean and in working condition.
Completing check list and handing them to the Sub-Officer.
Fire fighting rescue work:
Responding to emergency calls.
Executing all duties and safety orders given by Sub-Officer or Senior Fire Fighter administration duties.
Complete all documentation and check list with accurate information and hand it over to the Leading Fire Fighter.
Training:
Participating in training sessions to ensure that basic skills are continuously developed and kept at a high standard.

Requirements

Grade 12 or equivalent SAESI accredited Fire Fighter 2 and Hazmat operations
Code 08 (EB) driver’s licence with public driver’s permit (PDP)
Physically fit and able to perform duties associated with the position
Must be able to swim
Candidates shouldn’t suffer from any phobias e.g. claustrophobia, acrophobia
Experience or knowledge regarding fire and rescue will be an added advantage
Basic Ambulance Assistance course will be an added advantage
A hard working self-disciplined person
