Internal Auditor: Internal Audit Section

Position Objective
Mintek Internal Audit Section’s mandate is to provide independent, objective
assurance and consulting services to Mintek in order to add value and improve
Mintek’s operations. The Internal Audit Section helps Mintek accomplish its
objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve
the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes.
Internal Auditors assist the Head of Internal Audit in delivering on the above
mandate.

Key Accountabilities
 Plan, execute and report on assigned audit projects in accordance with the IIA
standards and the Mintek Internal Audit methodology.
 Ensure that all audit-related documentation for assigned projects meet IIA
standards and the Mintek Internal Audit methodology.
 Conduct or assist in conducting ad hoc investigations.
 Assist in providing advisory services to Executive and Senior management.
 Provide regular feedback on progress of audit assignments to audit supervisor.

Knowledge Required
Must have:
 Degree or diploma in (Internal) Auditing;
 At least three (3) years’ experience as an internal auditor;
 Knowledge of and experience in MS Office and Teammate;
SKILLS REQUIRED
 Self-motivated, self-starter, innovative, meticulous and detailed;
 Good communication and interpersonal skills;
 Good project management and report writing skills;
 Ability to work independently with little supervision;

Salary: Minimum R268 221 CTC
