The Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) invite all students studying or intending to study at recognised tertiary institutions for the following fields of study in the 2014 academic year:
- ND in Conservation
- BSc: Environmental Science
- BSc: Botany / Plant Sciences
- BCom: Supply Chain Management
The bursary scheme prioritises the previously disadvantaged and deep rural communities in the Province of Mpumalanga. Females and people living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
To qualify for a bursary, the applicant must submit an application letter and attach the following:
- Certified copies of Grade 12 mid-year results (if current in Grade 12) or a grade 12 certificate;
- Certified copy of academic results, if currently doing 1st year at university, especially BSc: Botany / Plant Sciences students;
- Certified copy of proof of residence in Mpumalanga;
- A provisional letter of acceptance or proof of registration at a tertiary institution. under no circumstances will an application be considered without a provisional letter of acceptance or proof of registration from a tertiary institution;
- Certified copy of a SA ID;
- Proof of income of parent or guardian;
- Proof of indigent status if applicable
Please Note:
- Only field of study indicated in the advert will be considered for a bursary award for 2014
- MTPA reserves the right not to award a bursary
- Successful candidates will be informed from 27th January 2014 after bursaries have been approved
- If you do not hear from MTPA after the end of January 2014 please consider your application to be unsuccessful
- Verification of residential address and indigent status may be conducted without prior notification
