•Lead and manage the technical delivery of the relevant solution area
•Ensure alignment of IT Solutions and Applications with Business Objectives with support of Architecture department
•Improve business results by applying Business Process Improvement methodologies
•Ensure that feasibility studies, business cases and impact studies for proposed changes and enhancements are prepared
•Support Product managers/owners in the product development cycle
•Develop and maintain a technology roadmap for systems in the assigned solution area with the support of other Technical Solution Managers to achieve an end-to-end coverage
•Take responsibility for managing the Technical Leads and supervise their relationship with Programme, Product, Project and Business Delivery Management to ensure work packages are properly defined and understood and that an appropriate technical solution is proposed and developed
•Lead software architects and delivery teams to ensure design of software meets functional and non-functional requirements
•Ensure appropriate and relevant tools and work practices are adopted that best meet the needs of current and future projects while fitting with appropriate development processes and chosen tool-chains
•Take full responsibility for monitoring current and future resourcing needs Raise appropriate resource requisitions and liaise with relevant recruitment consultants to bring in the appropriate headcount
•Accountable for the overall reliability (availability, performance, capacity and service continuity) of the technical service provided throughout the specific technology area
•Ensure appropriate governance, methodologies, policies and procedures compliance by team with the support of the Governance Manager and Audit Managers
•Ensure that Incident and Problem management activities are performed by ensuring quality is maintained by maintaining agreed SLA and ensure all actions are completed with the support of Service Management department
•Perform demand fulfillment activities by providing updates, maintaining agreed SLA with the support Business Engagement Manager
•Ensure that asset and configuration activities by keeping an updated set of data by configuring changes, maintaining a complete and accurate system configuration document with the support of Service Management, Application Support and Infrastructure Management activities
•Perform knowledge management & capacity management activities;
•Coaching and mentoring to develop talent
•Perform performance management activities by ensuring performance monitoring is done as specified by all team members, and conducting service failure analysis and validating implemented recommendations
•Perform availability management activities by producing recommendations, plans and design guidelines; conducting service failure analysis; investigating and recommending resolutions; and scheduling and conducting testing
•Ensure a single point of ownership in the implementation of standards and service improvement
•Perform event management activities by using the monitoring systems to identify, analyze and resolve events on a daily basis
•Keep abreast of technical and market trends in relation to the company’s product range and contribute to the development of product innovations and new product specifications


Education & Experience

•IT Degree
•8 years experience in IT
•At least 3 years experience in supervisory and management role
•Experience working with Offshore Development companies
•Broadcasting Industry experience (preferred)
