Mutual and Federal Learnerships in Sales

Mutual and Federal are offering a Learnership Programme in Sales, this is an opportunity particularly for black South African women (African, Coloured and Indian) including those living with disabilities with the exception of sight and hearing. Applicants must have completed: Matric and received their National Senior Certificate in 2011 or 2012, with an overall total achievement level of 28. Candidates must have achieved a level of 5 for English 1st/2nd language as well as for Afrikaans or another language as a 2nd language. Learners must not have completed a previous Learnership Programme.

The objective of this Learnership programme is to provide young women, interested in a sales career in the short-term insurance industry, with the required qualifications and skills. By the end of the programme learners will be qualified to sell financial products and give financial advice. The programme is 12 months long and includes on the job training.

Learners will receive:

FAIS Learnership Qualification (NQF level 4) Regulatory Examination Accreditation Microsoft 2010 training All other technical training to enable them to obtain the necessary technical skills required for a sales role within the financial services industry.

Monthly allowance: Learners will receive a monthly allowance of R2 500 per month.

Learnership Duration: The Learnership is for a period of 12 months and learners will be on a temporary Learnership contract. Upon Learnership completion at the end of the programme, learners will be considered for permanent roles – this will depend on the successful completion of the programme, job performance and available vacancies.
