The MWEB Connect division based in Cape Town currently has a vacancy for a Team Manager: Sales who will be reporting to the Assistant Call Centre Manager – Outbound and will be responsible for managing a team of Outbound Sales Agents in meeting MWEB Connect sales drivers in order to acquire new subscribers and up-sell to a variety of MWEB Connect products to existing customers.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and maximise the achievement of sales targets and objectives
• Manage a team of outbound sales agents
• Ensure that sales, talk time, quality and service level targets are achieved
• Responsible for acquiring new subscribers and up selling to existing clients, thereby contributing to the business drivers of MWEB Connect
• Coach sales staff with regards to sales performance, customer service and telephone etiquette
• Maintain a standard of excellence in line with the core principles of MWEB
• Responsible for all industrial relations matters pertaining to the management of your team
• Motivation of team
• Develop, produce and deliver reports of the outbound performance
• Able to present monthly portfolio
• Perform ad hoc duties and requirements as and when needed
• Able to work shifts / flexible hours and weekends

Qualifications and experience required

• Knowledge of the ICT sector / Telecommunications industry is essential
• Knowledge of sales contact centre inbound and outbound processes and methodologies is essential
• Matric is essential
• Knowledge and experience of ACD’s, IVR, CTI and Voice loggers
• Proven sales record is essential
• Minimum of 2 years outbound sales contact centre experience in a managerial position is essential (managing a team of people)
• Knowledge of MS Office is essential
