Purpose: To provide administrative support services to the Knowledge Management Directorate and to ensure efficient and
effective implementation of the KM Directorate’s strategy and annual implementation plan

Requirements: Relevant national diploma from accredited educational institution • Experience: A minimum of 5 years relevant
administrative support experience; A minimum of 3 years relevant events management experience; Must have a moderate
understanding of the core functions of the division; Must be computer literate with the 2007 MS Office Suite; Internal and external
client liaisons; Data management • Requirements: Problem solving; Information evaluation; Communication; Use of science and
technology to process data; Inter-relatedness t systems; Customer care; Team player; Adhere to professional conduct &
business ethics in a PS environment; Basic financial function in the events management; Support administration; Provide event
support services within a specific event genre; Plan and conduct research; Apply efficient time management; Work effectively
with others and contribute to good work practice

 

Key outputs:

Establish and maintain a hard copy KM filing system corresponding to the e-filing structure on the I-drive, aligned
to the National Treasury and TAU filing systems and Design, maintain, record all information of the Professional Development
Partnership (PDP) training undertaken by Technical Advisors and monitor performance according to the agreed standards •
Capture data required for quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports. Collect and store supporting documentation for these reports
in a logical format • Provide support in the systematic recording and storing of knowledge products and services and assist in the
development and operation of web-based platforms to ensure the ready access to this information, and filter the lessons learnt
into the web-database and relevant tracking-systems including BMIS • Provide project administration services for KM projects:
generate project governance documents, process invoices, monitor project deliverables and contract expiry dates • Upload all
required KM project documents on the TAU BMIS • Contribute to the establishment and running of all Communities of Practices.
Supports the organisation and planning of regular events or other dissemination activities, and liaise with the DD: MRE and BSM
(TAU programme) to ensure harmonised scheduling of TAU events • Promote the meaning and purpose of knowledge products
and services to clients internal and external • Liaise with external service providers regarding goods and services required by
KM, obtain quotations from external service providers for services to be rendered to the Directorate: KM and assist with quality
control of deliverable
