Job Description
• To ensure the efficient functioning of the costing department

• To manage the process of effective stock management, pricing and variance analysis

• To manage the process of stock valuation and reporting that provides useful information to management to assist in planning, organizing and controlling the efficient running of the organization

• To providing assistance to business units in improving and optimizing their businesses processes

• Review progress of month-end stock takes

• Physically attend month-end stock takes

• Review the aging of goods in transit

• Review monthly stock reports and reconciliations review goods received not invoiced reconciliation

• Review “Analysis of Stock” for all relevant types of stock and valuations of stock

• Prepare stock valuation for monthly standard costs

• Present monthly standard costs at Pricing Meeting

• Review cost of sales pricelist

• Prepare import pricing per shipment

• Manage and Prepare Transfer Pricing for inter companies

• Perform sub system balancing for inventory between Fertilizer Operating System (FOS) and general ledger

• Process month-end revaluation of inventory

• Prepare stock valuation for actual costs of month end valuation

• Prepare calculation of labour and overheads for annual update

• Agree annual update of labour and overheads with relevant stakeholders

• Review purchase price variance reports

• Review usage variance reports

• Monitor stock gains and losses

• Analyze BOM’s within production processes

• Prepare all calculations for month-end provisions required for management accounting purposes

• Responsible for all Statistical information eg: Hedge meeting,

Desired Skills and Experience

• 3-5 years costing and financial accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

• Standard costing knowledge

• MS Office• ERP System in a manufacturing environment

• QAD

• Qlikview

• TM1
