Purpose of the Role:
To lead the development and delivery of the Comms, Media, Utilities and Transport (CMUT) industry and applications product focused presales capability, ensuring that this matches current and future demand To develop value propositions exploiting Oracle’s Applications total product and solutions capability in designated industries or product areas To provide licence sales with appropriate presales support throughout the sales cycle.
SCOPE:
Reports to the Sales Consulting Director
Manages a team of sales consultants (pre-sales consultants) responsible for the Applications Business
Works closely with Sales Management, Client Managers, Industry/Product Consultants, Business Development, Multi Channel Sales, Marketing, Development and Solutions Leaders
Contributes to the achievement of the Applications Licence revenue target
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contributing to the development of the Business Plan and other planning activities
Driving the implementation of Presales activities as part of the Business Plans
Generating and promoting Value Propositions that match industry needs to Oracle’s Applications products and solutions
Supporting Marketing campaigns
Identifying and defining the resource requirements for the Presales team designated sector and across industry/product sectors Recruiting and developing the Presales team to meet the resource requirements
Working with Applications Sales Representatives (Account Managers) to understand and qualify new opportunities
Allocating resources from the team and, where necessary, the broader Presales community
Acting as a Applications Sales Consultant, where appropriate, on specific opportunities
Monitoring the effectiveness of the team in supporting specific opportunities
Providing accurate and timely management information
Building effective working relationships with key clients and colleagues within Oracle Sales Management teams
Providing an appropriate mix of skills and roles within the team to meet demand
Managing competencies of the team to anticipate and meet demand Providing skills development and training to provide these competencies
Defining the training needs of individuals on the team
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Education / Qualifications
Tertiary Qualification
Experience / Technical / Professional knowledge
CMUT Industries experience in any functional line or through Management/ERP consulting
8+ years of professional experience
A relevant academic background
Knowledge of any business applications / ERP software – Preferably Oracle EBusiness Suite
Preferably having people management / team leading experience Self-initiative taking, with business acumen and customer focus
Manage ambiguity and adopts a high pace at work
The right candidate is the one with strong industry knowledge and a good understanding of business applications
The person will have opportunity / requirement to travel when necessary
Fluent in English and Arabic
