Location: Westrand
Salary: R14000 neg per month
To start: January 2017
Reports to: HR Manager

The applicant is required to perform the below listed duties and should possess competencies in these areas:

• Assist employee’s with payroll and HR queries
• Deal with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees
• Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
• Collect and capture timekeeping information
• Calculate hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime
• Capture leave on the payroll and T&A systems
• Ensure that staff files are complete
• Loading new staff details onto the system
• Calculating wages and payment of same
• Calculate commissions
• Calculate and submit payroll taxes, benefits schemes and other deductions
• Assist with balancing of the IRP5’s.
• Process employee advances and paybacks
• Process and close periodic payrolls
• Print and issue payslips
• Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to Manager
• Assist HR Managers with adhoc duties as and when required
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential

Job Requirements:

The suited applicant is expected to meet the below listed requirements
• Proven experience as payroll and wage clerk in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with general accounting principles
• Matric essential
• Payroll qualification an advantage
• Computer savvy with working knowledge of relevant payroll software
• Solid knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
• Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving
• Must be organized, professional and motivated, capable of working well alone or as a member of a team
