Career Development Services Project
This post will be contract based from the date of appointment until 31 March 2017
SALARY : R183 438 per annum
CENTRE : Pretoria

 

REQUIREMENTS : NQF level 6 qualification in office administration or equivalent qualification;3
Years’ experience in rendering a support service to senior management.; Good
telephone etiquette; Computer literacy; Ability to do research and analyse
documents and situations; Knowledge of the relevant
legislation/policies/prescripts and procedures; Basic knowledge of financial
administration; Language skills and the ability to communicate well with people at
different levels and from different backgrounds; Sound organizational skills; Good
people skills; Written communications skills; Ability to act with tact and discretion;
and Self-management and motivation.

 

DUTIES : To render a secretarial support service to the Project Manager. Provides a
secretarial/receptionist support service to the Project Manager; Renders
administrative support services; Provides support to the Project Manager
regarding meetings; Supports the Project Manager with the administration of the
Project Manager’s budget; and Studies the relevant Public Service and
departmental prescripts/policies and other documents and ensures that the
application thereof is understood properly.

Note: The positions will be based in DHET Head Office, Pretoria to assist with the
management and implementation of the Career Development Services project. All
contract appointments are subject to satisfactory performance and a 6-month
probationary period. The overall objects of the project are to support, coordinate
and guide the provision of a national Career Development Service through a
mass multi-channel educational campaign by radio, newspapers, exhibitions,
telephone helpline services and support for face-to-face advisory services.
