PetroSA Contracts Manager Vacancies

  • • Procure goods and services of a specialist nature in a manner which is fair, transparent, equitable and cost effective for the organisation to ensure compliance to legislation and BEE governance

  • • Prepare, implement, monitor and update tender and contracts plan by evaluating users’ requirements to ensure that all known tenders for current and the future are timeously planned and accounted for
  • • Process the procurement of goods and services of a specialist nature via quotations by drafting requests for quotations, identifying suppliers, evaluating quotations in consultation with end users and then creating and issuing a purchase order to approved suppliers to ensure goods and services are procured on time and according to PetroSA procurement policies and procedures
  • • Process the procurement of goods and services of a specialist nature via the tender process by drafting the tender specifications with originator, advertise and issue the tenders, register and check tender documentation, convene the evaluation committee and draw up the recommendation for submission to the Procurement Committee, notify all parties of the tender process outcome, issue a contract and purchase order to approved supplier to ensure goods and services are procured on time and according to PetroSA procurement policies and procedures
  • • Expedite the delivery of goods and services, resolve issues and communicate to end users the status of deliveries to ensure quality goods and services as per specifications are delivered on time
  • • Draw up and finalise the contract with the supplier and administer the contract to ensure compliance with contract provisions, review contract renewal and organise contract extensions to ensure vendor performance management and timely delivery of goods and services
  • • Participate and contribute in cross functional projects / initiatives to assist in the implementation of PetroSA’s corporate strategy
  • • Run and monitor weekly and monthly procurement reports in order to track progress on the outstanding requisitions, purchase orders and tenders to ensure customer requirements and SLAs are achieved
  • • Monitor and control that all procurement documentation is filed and available for record and audit purposes to ensure compliance with PetroSA policies and procedures and ISO standards
  • • Promote and establish BBBEE suppliers, assist in the establishment of a preferred supplier list and vendor performance monitoring to ensure quality vendors are available to issue RFQs and RFT’s to ensure the achievement of procurement BBBEE targets
  • • Conduct market research to identify and analyse buying trends to optimise the procurement of goods or services at the best possible prices
  • • Capture and maintain contract/ tender information, pricing conditions on agreements in SAP to ensure the correct information is available on the system for payment and audit tracking purposes
  • • Manage and monitor contract terms, payments, progress meetings, claims/ counter claims, disputes, variations and closing out of contracts to ensure compliance to procurement terms and conditions
  • • Track and advise on expenditure against contracts to ensure that funds are optimally utilised in service delivery
  • • Manage and control cost savings on tenders and contracts to ensure that goods and services are procured at the least possible cost without compromising on quality
  • • Advise and assist business in securing quality goods and services of a specialist nature via tenders and contracts in line with best business practices and benchmarking in Supply Chain Management
  • • Advise and assist user departments in the management and sourcing of BBBEE suppliers for materials sourcing to ensure alignment with PetroSA BBBEE targets
  • • Manage the development and implementation of a personal learning and growth plan to ensure continued development

  • • A Post Graduate Degree in Legal, Supply Chain Service/ Procurement/ Quantity Surveying or any other Engineering discipline
  • • MCIPS (Full member of the Charted Institute of Purchasing and Supply) would be an added advantage

  • • 8 years’ relevant experience in engineering, quantity surveying or project management in a tendering or contracts environment preferably in the energy industry, of which 2 years’ were spent in contracts administration

  • • These positions are on job grade EN 16

Do you have 8 years’ relevant experience in engineering, quantity surveying or project management in a tendering or contracts environment preferably in the energy industry, of which 2 years’ were spent in contracts administration?
