The successful candidate will be responsible for the managing and executing of his/her designated client portfolio, with a particular focus on fashion brands. Responsibilities include the effective management, coordination, implementation, and completion of PR and publicity campaigns, and the successful management of high-end events. Strong relationships management ability with clients and media are critical to the position and a strong interest and/or experience in the luxury sector is essential.

The key performance areas are:
• Conceptualising and managing tactical and creative PR strategies and plans
• Exceptional media relationships with a solid track record in media management and client pitches
• Exceptional event management skills, including strategy and concept creation, planning, budgeting and full management
• Successful relationship building with existing and new clients
• Excellent creative writing skills (press releases and client proposals)
• Full management of all PR activities including monthly reports, supplier management and managing of creative material where necessary
• Good social media knowledge and experience
• An exceptional track record is essential and to be able to show a solid return on investment achieved for past clients
• Ability to suitably represent the company at industry and social events
• A good knowledge of the South African media landscape and the ability to create story angles for a multitude of different clients
• A good understanding of the international and local luxury industry and fashion sector
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of PR with a PR Diploma or Degree
• Solid computer competence: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), web and social media
• At least two years PR work experience in a PR agency is essential
