3. PRINCIPAL COMMUNICATION OFFICER – MEDIA SERVICES 2 POSTS REF NO: DHET 27/01/2015)
SALARY : R227 802 per annum Level 8
CENTRE : Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : Minimum 3 year Diploma or Degree in Media Studies, Public Relations,
Communication or any equivalent qualification, At least 3 years relevant
experience, Good verbal and writing skills. Computer literacy. Basic research
skills. Sound understanding of government environment. Driving licence will be
added advantage.

 

DUTIES : Develop and maintain a media database, Develop and implement a media
relations strategy, Develop and implement innovative media monitoring strategies,
Regular media monitoring, Liaison with regional offices on media related matters,
Draft written articles for publication in the media or responses to media queries or
distortions, Develop media strategies and plans, Plan and execute media events,
Maintain sound relations with media
