Qualifications BSc/BEng (Civil) qualification
Registered as Professional Engineer with ECSA
Experience 8 – 10 years post graduate experience in the design of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
Experience in the design of roads and civil services will be an advantage.
Competent in the use of design and CAD software i.e. Prokon and Autocad
Conversant with Microsoft Office applications
Duties Assist the Senior Civil Engineer with the design of civil and structural work pertaining to chemical plants, warehouses, etc.
Assist with extract of quantities for budget and tender purposes
Site visits to gather information required for design work, i.e. take of measurements and geotechnical information
Site visits during construction to inspect excavations and reinforcement prior to the cast of concrete
Assist with the annual inspection of existing steel structures as required by the OHS Act
Sign off completed structures
