INTERNAL RADIO STATION OFFICER/ BROADCASTER 2 POST REF NO:

Directorate: Deputy Chief Executive Officer
SALARY : R 148 584 per annum
CENTRE : Steve Biko Academic Hospital

 

REQUIREMENTS : A three year National Diploma or equivalent in Media/Public Relations/
Journalism. Excellent communication skills (verbal and writing). Have to be self
individual who is willing to learn. Must be computer literate, good in Microsoft
office programs inclusive of as word, excel, PowerPoint and internet. A minimum
two years of the working in a broadcasting environment, knowledge of Batho
Pele Principles and Patient’s Rights Charter. A sound knowledge of creating and
producing radio shows and programmes, skills and competency on radio station
production, up to date current affairs or topical issues especially those relevant
to health. Good interpersonal relation and eloquent speaker.

 

DUTIES : identify and produce items of programmmes; researching news stories;
presenting shows or small section of programme such as current affairs
programs, news items, and review of music, films or books. Assist in
programming and recording. General assistance in the production. Driving the
desk for some pre-recorded or live programmes. Submitting update programmes
to ensure coherence and balance on-air and website content. Booking
resources, facilities, studio time and equipment. Editing audio packages with
digital software. Arranging and overseeing guest lists and freelance staff.
General duties such as assisting with the recording of transmissions.
