Job Description

To support and drive the local implementation of NPD/EPD’s, performance testing, formulation development, squeeze initiatives, claim substantiation…etc and provide technical support to the supply, procurement, regulatory and marketing function under supervision.

Principal Accountabilities
Knowledgeable with basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench
Understands the Product Development Process as it pertains to R&D functions
Read, understand and apply SOP / ISO / GLP protocols with regards to:
Data generation for Product Registration for submission to Global Regulatory Agencies.
Proper operation, standardization & maintenance of lab equipment
Maintaining accurate laboratory notebooks

Following the Safety and Good Housekeeping requirements
· Conduct performance and analysis evaluations of competitive products
· Able to manage implementation of NPDs / EPDs under the supervision of associate or manager

Ensure that the following elements are carried out for each project, in collaboration with other R&D groups:
· Formulation development
· Performance tests
· Stability tests
· Support to industrial trials
· Copy clearance
· Specification setting

Support squeeze initiatives
Support to Supply for manufacturing, procurement or packaging projects
Provide a clear definition of products, marketing claims, and raw materials requirements from the regional/local perspective.
Providing technical input and support in the preparation of the claim support data for the clearance of commercial labels in association with R&D categories.
Provide technical support to QA, QC to deal with local consumer complaints.
Good Project Management skills.
Good formulation knowledge and understand of chemical interactions
Ability to interpret results from lab tests through statistical analysis of testing data
Conduct performance and/or analysis evaluations of competitive products
Make decisions and recommendations relative to project results
Work with manufacturing in order to qualify process scale up
Develops and maintains project milestone plans

Job Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in a related science and up to 5 years experience
MS degree in a related science and up to 3 years experience
PhD in a related science and 0 yrs experience
