To grow the standards sales revenue in line with the Division’s sales strategy.
Grow the standards sales revenue in line with the sales strategy of the Division:
• Grow the standards sales revenue by applying effective selling methods, e.g. up-selling cross-selling and cold calling
• Grow the sales revenue by selling current and new product lines e.g. SABS Web-store; Subscription Service; etc
• Gain good understanding and knowledge of product lines and service offerings
• Promote standards as a value adding product in retail, accounts
• Inform customers of the in-house Standards packages
• Grow and maintain customer relationships
• Present products and service offering in a professional way as part of a direct selling tactic
• Feed future buying trends back to sales manager
Promote current and new product lines and service offerings:
• Promote the current product lines and their benefits e.g. Web-store; standards alert service; subscription service; customized CD-ROMS; etc.
• Promote other related services of the Division and SABS, e.g. private specifications; training; etc
• Mine the base for Standards sales in retail, accounts and subscriptions
• Record customer feedback and cannel such feedback and suggestions to management for future consideration
• Track promotional activities and identify their impact
• Identify current and future needs of customer and potential customers regarding current and new products
• Ensure quality service offering through reducing credit notes and complaints
Deliver excellent customer service:
• Provide excellent customer service by meeting and exceeding the client requirements as per their requests
• Handle all sales queries and resolve problems related to the sales of standards
• Provide accurate sales information to customer and adhere to turn around times
• Follow up on account and cash queries raised by customers and adhere to query escalation process
• Maintain customer database ensure that the customers details are accurate and up-to-date
• Keep telephonic and e-mail records of correspondences with customer
• Solve customer problems by providing innovative solutions within a sales process
Optimize own performance within the team:
• Participate in the standards sales team as a productive team member
• Ensure that one’s own performance within the team contributes towards the overall success of the team
• Contribute to diversity management initiatives and build business relationships
• Develop, support and mentor employees within the team on ongoing basis as and when required
Develop Standards sales categories; maximize profits by adding value to customer’s businesses:
• Apply the concept of cross selling
• Promote the relationship between Standards and Sales solutions by presenting the many categories of Standards available
• Align the SABS product portfolio to customers requirements
• Evaluate financial implications in Sales decisions and strive to maximize profitability and sustainability for the SABS
• Advocate for the SABS brand and uphold the company values at all times
• B Degree/National Diploma in Sales or Marketing
• Minimum 2 years sales experience
• Computer literacy (MS Office suite Internet)
