About the role
The Marketing and Sales Support Analyst is responsible for developing general business intelligence reporting/analytical data insights, lead process management and community database management for Mimecast South Africa. The reporting services and data management are in support of the overall marketing and sales business strategy working in conjunction with the global team to provide business analytical reports to the local office.
Who we are looking for
The successful candidate will be a person with exceptional multitasking and time management skills and have the ability to prioritise key tasks, whilst working in a high performance environment. This role calls for someone who has a passion for analytical information, drawing reports and working closely with members of the Marketing team, Market Development Specialists and Sales teams. A focused person, who will reduce inefficiencies, standardizing processes where applicable and enhancing the execution and success by increasing the chances of higher operational efficiencies and overall revenue returns.
Develop and manage contact community databases for launch campaigns to drive product and services adoption, education, customer advocacy, upsell and retention
Monitor and improve on community target groups through use of Netsuite and Marketo inbound marketing tool
Support integrity of community data and conduct regular audits with Customer Experience, Sales and Channel teams to ensure data sanity
Summarize insights to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization
Assist with accurate segmentation and complete lists for monthly newsletters to customers and partner communities
Review and improve on processes utilizing Netsuite and Marketo through regional relationship with global owners for these systems
Support and maintain internal Mimecast community information
Provide in-depth reporting on community groups, frequency of communications
Provide required reporting on marketing campaigns from Netsuite
Provide support with the customer communication strategy incorporating multiple elements – Netsuite, portal and Marketo integration
Assist with analytics on trending and campaign planning/segmentation
Assist with accumulating data and providing this in useable format to relevant teams including Market Development, Customer Advocates, Sales and Channel.
Assist Sales with pipeline management process, reporting and ensuring SLA processes are executed against
Provide in depth reporting on sales performance & efficiency as well as the MDS function
Essential Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate must:
Strong expertise in building intelligence reports and providing analytical views on data
Proven track record in marketing database operations and administration with an emphasis on continued improvement of these skills
Ability to recognise information gaps and intuitively combine data from multiple independent sources to derive actionable business intelligence and insights in order to bridge these gaps
Strong knowledge of customer relationship systems, measurement and reporting
Previous exposure to automated lead nurturing and sales opportunity/pipeline processes (advantageous)
Fundamental understanding of the technology environment and software products
Highly advanced Excel skills, particularly in data matching/lookups and pivots as well as the ability to create robust, intelligent, user-friendly templates
Proven track record of delivering measurable results
Previous experience in cleansing and improving CRM systems’ data
Experience in building custom reports on CRM systems
Netsuite experience (advantageous)
Relational Database (SQL) experience and/or understanding (Highly advantageous)
Degree or diploma preferable, however, not essential
