The role focuses on formal training, coaching, developing, supervising and performance managing an own portfolio of financial advisers during the secondary phase of their vesting (months 9 – 20 of their employ) ensuring they are retained, competent and productive as quickly as possible.
The role focuses on:
Activity, productivity and performance management of financial advisers to ensure that the required controls and processes are in place for newly appointed finacial advisers to function effectively.
Facilitate financial advisers’ formal training & vesting by formulating a customised Training path for each financial adviser based on their prior experience/knowledge/skills as well as the learning outcomes following FP1
Perform supplementary on-the-job training with financial advisers on aspects of their function as follows:
S.net / SanfinWork Systems- Investor, Sanquote, Autonub, Officequote, Linkquote, Alpha Client, Spotlight, Santax, Santrust, Maestro, etc.
Leads generation and utilization of the database
Products and Legal Technical
Compliance and legislative processes
4. Recruitment of financial advisers
Knowledge and Skills:
MS: Office (Excel, Word, PP)
S.NET and other sales related applications/software (i.e.: Investor, Sanquote, Officequote, Linkquote, Alpha Client, Spotlight, Santax, Santrust, Sanfin, etc)
Financial Services Industry Knowledge;
Financial Services Product Knowledge (Sanlam and competitors)
Legal technical Knowledge (financial advice related & product related),
Financial/Assurance products-(broad and background)
Management and developmental skills to manage/coach staff
Budgets and expense management
Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (FAIS accredited)
Marketing/selling knowledge/skills (including 6 step sales cycle)
Activity and performance management
Analyse new business trends
Distribution Academy training program/courses
Fit and proper in terms of FAIS to perform supervision tasks
Extensive experience in a marketing/sales
Previous management role.
Financial Services experience, preferably having been a FA
Treating Customers Fairly
