Introduction…

A vacancy exists for a Senior Account Manager, based in Factoria, and reporting to the Sales Manager Southern Gauteng. The purpose of this position is to manage at an operational level a set of accounts in a geographic area in such aspects as product volume growth, area account PSO’s, sales growth, profit growth, relationship management, customer development and contractual status.

 

Minimum Requirements…

The successful incumbent will be in possession of a Matric certificate with 3 – 7 years commercial / sales experience. A tertiary Technical or Commercial qualification would be an advantage. Knowledge of Afrox systems and products, sales and negotiating and interpersonal skills would also be advantageous. The ideal applicant should be a self-driven achiever, highly motivated with a positive attitude. Someone who enjoys a challenge and can handle rejection and criticism. Further critical competencies include partnership building, influencing, customer intimacy, information sharing, visible leadership, growth drive, capability development and change leadership.

 

Job Specification…

•Prepare and present proposals and quotations to the customers for the supply of products and services.
•Contribute to the development and implementation of organisational marketing and sales policy and strategy.
•Forecast, monitor and evaluate sales performance on account of teams and self.
•Design and implement Linde Pro account Plans.
•Develop your own resources.
•Determine a strategy for the promotion of products and services to key accounts.
•Establish, maintain and enhance productive working relationship with customers.
•Identify and optimise opportunities for the sale of products and services to customers.
•Develop and improve service systems.
•Facilitate meetings.
•Develop productive working relationships.
•Manage activities to meet requirements.
•Provide information to support decision making.
•Develop, audit and renew networks of current and prospective customers.
•Co-ordinate the introduction of new products and services.
•Prepare and submit tenders for the supply of products and services.
•Lead major sales presentations and promotions
•Lead and manage sales to construction projects for the region.
