SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER 3 POSTS REF NO: SD/2015/05/58
SALARY : R227 804 per annum (plus benefits)
CENTRE : Head Office (Johannesburg)

 

REQUIREMENTS : A three year National Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification in finance,
supply chain management, logistics or public management with 3 years
supply chain management related experience or grade 12 with 5 years supply
chain management related experience. Good understanding and knowledge
of BAS/Sap/SRM is essential as well as computer literacy. Ability to manage
and lead a team. Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations-PFMA,
Treasury Regulations, GPG and public policies and procedures. A valid
drivers license. Skills and Competencies: Computer Literacy(MS Excel,
Outlook and Powerpoint) is essential. Good planning, organising, facilitation,
communication, coordination, minutes taking. Good report writing, financial
management and project management.

 

DUTIES : Coordinate submissions of procurement plans for purchase below and above
R500000 per case. Co ordinate development of departmental demand plans.
Monitor submission of monthly and quarterly reports to the relevant
stakeholders. Monthly analysis of reports and provide feedback to end users
on variances and actual implementation of procurement plans. Conduct on
site visits to monitor implementation of procurement plans. Train end users on
development of procurement and demand plans. Monitor coordination of
external and internal customer relation forums. Coordinate and monitor
procurement of goods and services for purchases below and above R500000.
Release of purchase orders as per delegated authority. Monitor the
processing of requisitions and goods receipt vouchers as per delegated
authority. Monitor payment of suppliers. Monitor procurement of inventory
related items and ensure that procurement is done according to the allocated
budget. Ensure that query registers are updated and queries are resolved
within SLA time frames. Supervise of staff. Ensure compliance with the PFMA,
Treasury Regulations, other financial policies and regulations.
