GAIA CONSCIOUS TRAVEL is an online travel agency which will be launched in March 2015. They are looking for a very creative, enthusiastic and driven intern.
Requirements:
This is a part time position following objectives; therefore working hours are flexible and will depend on the candidate’s productivity and the objectives set by the marketing calendar.
This is an ONLINE position; therefore residence in the Cape Town area would be an advantage but not a requirement.
This position will hopefully lead to an online paid position after 6 months of successful internship.
Gaia will contribute R1500 per month towards living expenses.
Duties:
This is the opportunity to be part of something new and exciting right from the start, as well as the opportunity to work for a business that will make a difference in the world of tourism.
The business’ marketing plans and website are already developed and respectively ready to be implemented and populated. Please not that the website is not public yet, so you will not find
The candidate will work directly under supervision of the Operations and Sales Manager who will train him/her in all aspects of marketing. He/She will also learn about managing an online business.
We are launching the idea of “conscious travel” versus “responsible travel”, where the travel “within” and the personal growth that comes with travel is given an important role.
Our catalogues will include ecotourism, volunteering, local social experiences, yoga retreats, art courses, etc. All our trips will collaborate with social or environmental NGOs.
