REQUIREMENTS : Matric Certificate or National Certificate (Vocational), A Bachelor’s Degree in

Social Work, Registration with the South African Council for Social Services
Profession as Social Worker, plus a minimum of 8 years appropriate experience
in Social Work after registration as Social Worker with SACSSP. A valid driver’s
license. Knowledge: All relevant public service prescripts; KZN Provincial Growth
and Development Strategy; Millennium Development goals; White Paper on
Social Welfare Services; Social Service Professions Act 110 of 1978 as
amended; Draft Policy on Social Service Professions; Framework for Social
Welfare Services; Professional Compliance Framework for Social Welfare
Services; Careers Fair Strategy; Integrated Social Development Strategy;
Recruitment and Retention Strategy for Social Welfare Services; Generic
Business Processes for Social Welfare; Supervision Framework in Social
Welfare Services; Human Rights in the delivery of Social Welfare Services; The
Constitution of Republic of South Africa; Non-Profit Organisations Act; Policy on
Financial Awards 2005; PEPUDA; PAIA and PAJA. Skills: Planning and
organizing, Networking, Communication, Co-ordination, Professional counseling,
Analytical Thinking, Monitoring and Evaluation, Problem Solving, Report Writing,
Financial Management, Project Management, Team Building, Policy Analysis
and Development, Presentation, People Management, Ability to compile complex
report skills.

 

DUTIES : Develop, implement and maintain child protection policies; Keep up to date with
new developments in the social work field; Research and development and
Perform the administrative functions required in the unit.

Department, must be signed and dated. Curriculum vitae with full record of service, certified copy of ID
documentation, Driver’s license and certified copy of the highest educational
