The SAB graduate program is one of the ways in which SAB contributes to the development of talent in South Africa. SAB runs an annual graduate acquisition process which culminates in the appointment of high calibre talent into a number of graduate development programs across the business value chain.
A SAB graduate programme is a structured 18-24 month programme which is designed to address the acquisition of technical skills and experience for a graduate as well as familiarise the trainee with the SAB philosophies. The rigour of the programme should ensure that an individual that has completed the programme can be allocated an area of responsibility immediately.
Graduate intake at SAB is impacted by a number of variables which include both the South African skills market and the business’ skills needs.
Applications for the 2013 graduate in-take are open in the following business areas:
Step 1: See where you fit in
Step 2: Register and apply
Step 3: Successful CVs screened and shortlisted
Do you make “First Draft?” You will be contacted via email/sms to let you know of the progress of your application.
Step 4: Regional Assessments
Shortlisted candidates will be assessed during the month of August.
Step 5: Assessment Centres
Successful applicants will go through a two day panel interview and final round of psychometric assessment.
These will take place during the period of September-October.
Step 6: Reference Checking
Before an offer of employment is made, reference and background checks are performed. Make sure you have the permission of your referees as SAB will be contacting them for referrals.
Step 7: Offer of Appointment
Final offers will be sent out to selected candidates for placement by latest 26 October 2012 and letters of regret to those poor guys who get “shafted” instead of “drafted.” Just joking.
Closing Date: 31 August 2012
