MANAGEMENT TRAINEE – OPERATIONS – ALL PROVINCES
The Management trainee would shadow a Distribution Manager and Warehouse manager and basically learn the SAB way without having people or KPI accountabilities. The successful person will be involved in the entire value chain, understanding it from start to finish whilst simultaneously working on an identified project and progressing through structured development plan. They are usually in the role for 8-12 months depending on their rate of learning and experience.
We want candidates that are able to fast track quickly to a senior level to fill whichever management vacancy avails itself at a time which is very much dependent on the successful candidate.
It is therefore not a traineeship as such. It is a permanent position with very good prospects for career advancement.
KEY OUTPUTS
Manage and support District/Regional/Divisional Projects
Distribution and Warehouse effectiveness.
Understand and manage Distribution and warehouse planning and resourcing
Extract, analyse and consolidate information requirements for stakeholders
Understand and manage budgets and financial information
Understand and manage administration and support audits
Understand and interpret and manage key performance areas
Handle customer queries and complaints
KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES
High degree of commitment to the training programme and business
Good leadership, management and self management skills
Ability to build and foster interpersonal relationships
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong Analytical abilities
High energy levels, integrity and proactive nature
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
Relevant & complete 3 year degree or diploma – preferably Logistics
2 years + people management experience
Experience in a Logistics/Distribution/Supply Chain environment
Willingness to relocate and/or travel
