Additional Requirements:

Relevant three year Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Operations Management. A minimum of 2 years experience working with the application of the enterprise risk management process. Studying towards a relevant Diploma or Programme in Enterprise Risk Management will serve as an added
advantage. Knowledge and use of an Enterprise Risk Management System will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance.

Skills and Competencies:

Core Functions:
Understand the enterprise risk management requirements espoused in the
Public Finance Management Act, Treasury Regulations, Public Sector Risk
Management Framework and King III Code of Corporate Governance.
Understand the requirements of an Enterprise Risk Management Strategy.
Assist with the performing of risk assessments in support of the providing of
reasonable assurance of the unit, including national, provincial, or local levels.
Compile Risk Assessment Reports detailing the approach to and the methology
applied during the identification and assessment of risk by a business unit.
Compile Risk Response Project Plans to ensure an appropriate response to
Prioritise residual risks that are complimentary to operational performance plans
utilised by business units. Compile Risk Monitoring Reports consolidating management’s response to the mitigation of prioritised residual risks. Assist in the advising of management on the development and application of appropriate internal control mechanisms to promote the mitigation of risk or the maximising of opportunity.

 

2Post : COLONEL (DEPUTY DIRECTOR)

Salary Level : R 608 691 per annum (MMS Band)

Location : Monitoring & Evaluation

Additional Requirements:

A relevant three years Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences. A post graduate diploma/degree in Social Sciences would be an added advantage. A minimum of 5 years experience in a monitoring and evaluation environment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance.

Skills and competencies:

Managing and Leadership skills, research skills. Good analytical and report writing skills. Proficiency in computers. Presentation skills. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations with team and other stakeholders and ability to work under pressure.

Core Functions:

Assist with compiling of clear, concise and accurate progress reports including recommendations. Assist in facilitating periodic learning/reflection sessions on monitoring and evaluation processes. Assist with the Expenditure of National Estimates (ENE). Assist with the compilation of the Strategic Plan and Annual Performance Plan of the organisation. Ensure the alignment of operational plans to that of the strategic direction of the organisation. Facilitate strategic planning sessions. Manage and supervise planning processes allocated to subordinates. Must be able to travel extensively.

Relevant three-year Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/

Operations Management or Project Management or any equivalent qualification with Project Management as a major subject. A minimum 5 years experience within project management environment, and two of which should preferably have been spent in the public sector at management level. Relevant post graduate degree particularly in Project Management will serve as an added advantage. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a security

clearance and to demonstrate relevant practical skills and knowledge.

Facilitate the development and maintenance of policy and project management standards of SAPS: Manage projects and programmes for planning to closure stage in line with project management methodology. Monitor and evaluate projects and programmes of the organisation. Manage budget allocated to various projects in terms of PFMA. Provide technical support to all project offices across the country. Supervise all projects and assignments allocated to personnel under his/her supervision. Coordinate all project reporting to various stakeholders. Provide quality management information to the executive management; and manage all resources allocated to the office.
