Job Purpose:

To plan, communicate and manage audit projects in alignment with Internal Audit business plan.

 

Duties:

Plan and supervise audit projects and ensure successful execution thereof to meet the annual operational audit plan.
To draft the engagement letters and Audit Planning Memorandum.
Accountable for maintenance of Team Mate audit file.
Review team members audit work in terms of Quality Assurance standards (IIA,ISACA) in line with Internal Audit.
Engage and communicate with auditee, audit team and Internal Audit management.
Manage the activities and performance of the team against set objectives, taking action to develop, discipline, coach individuals and resolve conflict in order to close the gap between current and desired performance.
Design the computer audit assisted technique requirements, analyse results and execute audit projects when required.
Prepare and produce reports for audit projects
Performance evaluation of direct report’s at the required frequency.

• All SARS administered laws, rules and regulations

• Knowledge of best practice frameworks e.g. COBIT (system security).
• Knowledge of SANS, OWASP standards.
• Knowledge of professional standards (IIA; ISACA; ISA; ISC2).
• Knowledge of business process reengineering principles and procedures.

Education & Experience:

Relevant 3 year Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma with minimum of 5 years Information Security audit experience on networks, firewalls, databases, operating systems and vulnerability assessments;

 

Additional Job Requirements:

Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM and CISA
Membership: ISACA; ISC2, IIA
