Spencer Ogden is a global energy recruitment company with its focus on the Sub Saharan African Market. Currently we are looking for an HR Officer who will report to the HR Manager of a global Renewable Energy Company. He/She will be responsible for supporting the HR Manager in performing all the HR activities, from training to recruitment, administration, compensation & benefits.
Minimum Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
· University Degree
· Valuable Master Degree in HR
· 3 years of working experience in HR, ideally handling administration, labor law, industrial & union relationships, compensation & benefits
· Ideal background in a small-medium subsidiary of multinational company requiring high levels of responsibility, autonomy and flexibility
· Extremely proactive and flexible, person able to work in small teams and to deal autonomously with different tasks at the same time
· Ability to prioritize and to organize time efficiently, to communicate clearly and interact with organization at all levels as well as with SA external entities (Social Security, Government, consulting firms)
· Working experience with SAP and Microsoft Office
· Fluent in English
Job Specification
RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
Selection and Placement Activities
· Evaluate application forms, screen CVs, post jobs, liaise with recruitment firms and job portals, connect with Business Schools, University, Professional Associations
· Evaluate forms for request of new hires and get the eventual approval of Human Resources Manager
· Perform job interviews, arranging interviews of the selected candidates with department managers
· Prepare all the necessary documentation for new hired candidate, liaising with all the entities and bodies to deliver them all required papers
· Prepare the registration files of new employees, arranging induction plans and training programs
· Monitor the probation period of the employees and get her/his manager to evaluate this period
· Have follow-up interviews with the employees at the completion of the probation period.
Exit Activities
· Arrange documentation and procedures for all the employees who quit the job
· Prepare dismissal notice & documentation for authorities, as well as severance payments, when they are required
· Give exit information to IT Department
Performance Appraisals, Training & Personnel Development
· Ensure the delivery of performance appraisals forms to departments managers and make sure to receive back complete information
· Monitor the results of performance evaluation system and make related reports.
Define training activities needed for professional development accordingly
· Detect training needs, that will be taken from external firms
· Coordinate every internal and external training
· Arrange, evaluate, record all the training activities, performing related reports
· Give orientation training & prepare induction programs for newcomers
· Ensure development and continuity of orientation program
· Negotiate with external training firms the content and condition of training, checking the profile of trainers and their certification and references
Personnel Administration & General Services
· Make organization charts
· Perform documents, statements and declarations for Social Security
· Notify Social Security and Tax authorities in time regarding new hires and termination of employment
· Control employees presence and deliver statistics regarding absenteeism
· Generate disciplinary records, perform disciplinary notifications, keep records
· Coordinate, inspect, ensure the regularity and quality of cleaning services
· Be in contact with subcontractors, monitoring and providing the related needed documents of subcontractor staff
· Promote social, cultural and sport activities with the aim of improve the morale of staff
