Job Purpose
To assist operations management to manage the day to day functions of the complex by reporting on daily activities.
Education
Matric/ Grade 12.
B Degree or equivalent or Tertiary qualification from a recognised hotel school.
Experience:
2 years management experience in a hotel industry
Skills and Knowledge
Accuracy/ Attention to detail.
Communication.
Self-management.
Numerical ability.
Organising and planning.
Proactivity.
Key Performance Areas:
Monitor daily operation
Operational standards monitored and reported as per SOP (e.g. housekeeping, preventative maintenance, safety, health, security and environmental, SOP manual, etc)
Standards, procedures and house rules communicated to relevant departments in the value chain
Ensure that all restaurants and banqueting areas are properly secured after the close of business.
Ensure that kitchens which have been closed down for the night have been checked, and that no equipment is left on, particularly deep fryers.
Reporting
Reports prepared as per requirements (general, daily, etc)
Management are kept informed of current and potential information
Correctness and completeness of information, data and presentations
Report deadlines are met
Customer services
Expectations met or exceeded
Product/ service standards are met or exceeded
Mystery guest targets are met or exceeded
Timeous response to complaints achieve customer satisfaction (turnaround in perception)
Customer retention
Ensure constant communication with Gaming managers, for prompt food & beverage Service
Intra/interdepartmental liaison
Daily performance feedback to operations management
Meetings attended as per schedule
Stakeholders (including staff, manager, internal customers, concessionaires, etc) are informed of information required to meet their needs and contributes to operational effectiveness
Ensure that service providers have enough management & staff in line with business requirements
Ensure that all maintenance requirements are reported and dealt with timorously
