The SCM department seeks to appoint Supply Chain Officer: Supplier Management X2 to ensure the Sentech supplier database is effectively managed and utilized for sourcing quotations and procuring goods and services.

Post Matric Certificate in Supply Chain Management or related studies/studying towards a formal qualification with 2 years’ relevant working experience within a supply chain management environment OR Senior Certificate with at least 3 years’ relevant working experience within a supply chain management environment

 

Job Specification

Assisted and advised on various sourcing strategies in terms of procurement procedure, evaluation method, pricing strategies, recordkeeping and report writing·

Provided guidance to clients on SCM policy and treasury regulation and DoA·

Ensure quotations and procurement proposals are sourced according to the supplier database·

Ensure quotes are sourced within the standard turnaround times.·

Ensure relevant supplier documentation and credentials meet SCM criteria and treasury requirements·

Compile procurement reports on quotations awarded to specific BEE supplier levels. Reports on quotes per SCO·

Establish good working relationships with managers and BSEC committee.

Respond to Suppliers on the update.



Ensure that customer complaints are attended to promptly Facilitated signing of contracts with service providers·

Effectively placed orders on SAP for required goods and services, managed transport arranged.

Adhered to agreed SCM guideline, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, Financial management and PFMA ·

Analyses, understood and applied treasure practice notes on IT procurement. ·

Applied universal/transversal contracts in the IT market (SITA) ·

Complied with Company policy, procedures and regulations.·

Highlighted risks. ·

Complied with SHE policy and relevant regulatory frame work.·

Drafted regular and accurate reports.·

Affiliated to  professional and leadership institutions ·

Kept abreast of advancement in broadcast/telecommunications fields.·

Establish good working relationships with managers and BSEC committee.

Respond to Suppliers on the update. Ensure that customer complaints are attended to promptly ·

Identify and established good working relationships with Suppliers to determine development areas, required interventions for development.
