SUPPLY CHAIN OFFICER: DEMAND & ACQUISITION MANAGEMENT
REF NO: MISA 9/2016
SALARY : R211 194 per annum, Level 07
CENTRE : Centurion

REQUIREMENTS : A three-year Diploma/Degree or equivalent qualification. At least 1-2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management/ procurement. Core competencies: Planning and organising, project management and change management. Process competencies: problem solving, client orientation and customer focus, communication (verbal and written). Technical competencies: Public Finance Management Act, Framework for Supply Chain Management, tender and Contract Administration, Transversal System i.e PASTEL, Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, Financial Management and BEE Framework and BBBEE Act.

DUTIES : The successful candidate will perform the following duties: Liaise with suppliers to get formal quotations from R2 000 upwards and bids from R500 000 upwards. Maintain and update database of all suppliers through changing of addresses, sending registration forms to new suppliers and updating tax clearance of all suppliers that have expired. Provide advice on acquisition management processes. Compare quotations and prices during procurements of goods, give clarity on comparison of prices, evaluation of quotations according to Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA), Calculation of points for quotations for suppliers, initiate purchase orders for all suppliers. Provide efficient and effective support on documents management.
