Team Leader Vacancy at Polyoak

We are currently looking for an experienced Blow moulding Team Leader to join our world class Production team.Polyoak Packaging is one of the leading rigid plastic packaging suppliers in Southern Africa, with a footprint in Namibia and Zimbabwe. We have been around since 1976 and our packaging is common place in most homes.

Minimum Requirements

N3 Diploma plus trade test (Electrician or Fitter Trade)
Minimum of 3 years experience in a Production Environment
Experience in mechanical and electrical fault finding
Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics.
Ability to communicate effectively and transparently
Ability to lead, teach and train others
Ability to identify and solve problems effectively
Ability to think issues through in a logical, systematic way
A passion for Quality
A passion for Safety
Ability to handle conflict and diffuse it constructively

Duties & Responsibilities

Managing a shift and meeting production and quality requirements in accordance with Polyoak’s policies and procedures
Assisting the Production Manager in ensuring the effective running of the plant
Maintaining of productions efficiencies and other targets for the plant
Repairs and maintenance to blow moulding machines
Assistance with all management aspects of the factory; people, processes, profit, safety and housekeeping
Ensuring a high standard of quality and adherence to ISO 22000 as implemented by company
