A market leader in the automotive industry based in Isando is looking for a Telecoms/Telephony/Technical/Communications Manager. The individual must able to liaise on all levels and has the ability to embrace change and add value to this fast paced, competitive and highly service focused company. This is a functional management role, services three business units. Applicants must have strong IT/Technical Accumen and experienced with managing and negotiating with suppliers.

The successful candidate must have:

• 5 Years experience as a senior Telephony Technician which must include
• Managing a telephony solution
• Liaising with suppliers
• PABX systems
• Good knowledge of various hardware and software systems used to manage and control the Telephony and Call Centre support function (Voicemail, Time Management Systems, PABX functions management, call and contact centre management)
• Relevant tertiary education

Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:

• Liaising with Suppliers
• PABX Systems
• Manage a cost-efficient and reliable telephony and communication infrastructure allowing the business to transact during operational hours
• Managing a telephony solution for a group of companies
• Liaising with all levels (IT operations and service suppliers and management)
• Ensuring proper data centre facilities and hardware are supplied and that such equipment needed are fit and proper for the purpose
• Ensure optimal solution up-time
• Planning for capacity such that the call centre and PABX systems allow for organic business growth
• Keeping managers abreast of issues and their resolution
• Planning, Organizing and controlling the tasks related to the function
• Adaptable and expandable communications infrastructure
• Reliable communication systems
