If you are successful in demonstrating that you have the potential to be a great journalist in Times Media we’ll give you a training contract, training by expert practitioners, a monthly stipend and the opportunity to work in several of our media operations and newsrooms.

Requirements

  • Recent Graduate in Journalism
  • South African citizen
  • Excellent English language writing skills
  • Initiative and curiousity
  • Strong commitment to a career in Journalism

How To Apply

Fill in the Application Form and write an essay / article of not more than 600 words on the topic:

“The good, the bad and the downright ugly – Twitter in South African society and politics”

The essay/article must be typed using a computer and double spacing and must demonstrate evidence of research. It should contain facts and quotes. It must be written in a clear and coherent journalistic – not academic – style and be entirely your own original work.

The essay and Application Form  must be emailed to [email protected] . Please put “TM Journalism Internship” in the subject line of your email and attach the form and the essay only.
