University of Limpopo Internship Opportunities [9 Vacancies]

The University of Limpopo has 9 exciting internship opportunities at the Turfloop Campus.

Applicants who have already participated in any Internship Programme will not be considered and if it is found that this was the case after appointment, the participation(s) will be terminated with immediate effect.

 

1. Website Coordinator Internship (2 Posts)

Requirements:

Associate Bachelor’s degree in Communication/Media/Public Relations/ National Diploma in Public

Relations Management or any other qualification in Website Communication.

Knowledge of using internet web searching tools/engines.

Ability to work within short deadlines and produce quickly.

Strong writing, editing, research and general communication skills.

 

2. Web Development Internship (1 Post)

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science/ National Diploma in Information Technology and or related experience

Server-side development knowledge (ASP.NET, PHP, JSP). Be sure that you mastered at least one server side development framework.

PostgreSQL or MySQL knowledge.

Minimal knowledge in internet security

 

3. Student Recruitment and Marketing Internship (1 Post)

Requirements:

National Diploma in Public Relations Management/Marketing

Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure without any supervision.

Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker

Good writing skills.

 

4. Events Planning and Management Internship (2 Posts)

Requirements:

National Diploma in Public Relations Management

Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure without any supervision.

Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker

Good writing skills.

 

5. Publications and Media Relations Internship (2 Posts)

Requirements:

Degree in Media Studies or Communication Studies/ National Diploma in Public Relations Management.

Knowledge of marketing and communications principles, guidelines and best working practice.

Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure under supervision.

Good writing skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, team worker

 

6. Graphic Design and Branding Internship (1 Post)

Requirements:

A National Diploma in Graphics Art and Web Design

Knowledge of design and presentation software packages to include Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, PowerPoint, QuarkExpress, Freehand, PageMaker Corel Draw and Microsoft Office. Flash, Director, Bryce, In Design knowledge a plus.

Familiarity with digital file formats (tiff, gif, eps, pdf) and the strengths and weaknesses of each.

Comprehensive knowledge of graphic design principles, a wide variety of media, and production methods

Basic knowledge of colour photographic processes and conventional and digital print processes.
