The Vineyard Hotel Human Resources Department made up of both HR and L&D sections forms part of a bigger community of HR Practitioners from our head office and sister hotels, all working closely together to ensure the success of the HR Division.

Core Functions


  1. Culture and values: Custodians of the culture and values of the business, translating these into all areas of the business.
  2. Planning: Translate the business strategy into the divisional strategy, preparing business plans to meet the needs of the business.
  3. Financial: Prepare and manage various budgets realting to HR & L&D.
  4. Business partnering: Providing strategic support and service delivery to the Vineyard Hotel’s management with regard to human resource capacity and capability.
  5. Leadership: Leading a dynamic team, ensuring they are resourced to deliver on the business imperatives. Assist in developing the leadership pipeline.
  6. Operational: Ensure a professional support function that delivers world class service.

Education and experience:

HR Diploma or Degree

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist (SABPP level: HR Professional)
  • Proven track record of managing an HR division
  • Proven leadership excellence especially in alignment and support
