ABSA Group recruits Financial Adviser Life Retail Banking (AIFA) (PP)
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To identify long term (life) risk of clients and to provide solutions for the client?s long term insurance and financial planning needs in order to build a sustainable adviser practice.
-Establish and maintain a professional relationship with all stakeholders i.e. client, bank personnel, product providers and adviser support channel.
-Meet sales and growth targets
-Manage own commission earnings
-Manage own adviser practice
-Attend all relevant training to obtain the required accreditation to market the variuos products
-Deciding and initiating action
-Relating and networking
-Persuading and influencing
-Delivering results and meeting customer expectations
-Coping with pressures and setbacks
-Achieving personal work goals and objectives
-Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
-Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
-FAIS Compliance: At least 60 credits at NQF level 5
-One (1) year experience in the life insurance industry
-Own reliable transport is essential
-No criminal record
-Higher Certificate or equivalent NQF level 5 Qualification in Insurance
-FAIS: 120 credits at NQF level 5 (Life Insurance)
-Membership of a relevant professional association
-Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent residents of South Africa in possession of proof of permanent resident status
-The appointment will be made in line with the Divisional Employment Equity strategy
-Remuneration for this position will be on a commission basis only
The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

market and sell products to new clients
manage own adviser practice
establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders
manage own commission earnings
life insurance industry with a proven track record
marketing and/or sales
life insurance industry
