PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To facilitate the delivery of learning interventions in support of the Retail Bank?s strategic business needs and pro-actively determine the effectiveness of learning interventions in accordance with business outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

? To facilitate learning interventions in line with adult-based education principles and training methodologies and practices.
? To develop and maintain relationships with business to raise the profile and capability of RBI&T and ensure achievement of business goals.
? To develop and maintain relationships with group RBI&T including consultants, co-ordinators and administrators as well as external training providers.
? To communicate with relevant stakeholders wrt training progress in accordance with RBI&T policies and procedures.
? To create an environment that is conducive to learning, supporting a learning culture.
? To benchmark and implement best practises in line with Absa?s policies to optimise RBI&T learning practises.
? To evaluate the quality and applicability of learning interventions by assessing the strategic intent of learning in line with the role of the identified target audience.
? To administer prescribed evaluation instruments in line with the designed learning strategy.
? To deliver on an administrative function in terms of capturing of training-related information progress in accordance with RBI&T policies and procedures.
? To actively be aware of the commercial balance between efficiency and cost effectiveness.
? To provide coaching and support to other team members to facilitate their development and ability to contribute to RBI&T initiatives across the business.
? To track and report on training implementation outcomes.
? To provide a full administrative support to the Implementation Training team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

? National Diploma in Human Resources Management/Training and Development/Social Sciences or an equivalent NQF level 5 qualification
? Computer literacy in terms of MS Office (Word, Excel,PowerPoint and Outlook) and internet is essential
? Three (3) years experience in facilitation of adult learning interventions, using different media and methods catering for various learning styles
? A valid and unendorsed Code B manual driver?s licence
? No criminal record

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

? A Bachelors Degree in HR Management, Training and development or Social Sciences is preferred
? Integral knowledge of Training Methodologies, e.g. ADDIE process.
? Proficiency in MS project
? Preference will be given to South African Citizens and Permanent Residents of South Africa in possession of a permanent resident number
