Job Title: Finance and Operations Director

Job Location: Johannesburg

Do you have extensive management and leadership experience and are an expert at driving organisational strategic direction and overseeing the financial management of a complex organisation at Finance and Operations Director level.

Reporting to the General Secretary, as part of the Global Leadership Team you will work closely to Board Committees; be the organisation’s Finance lead; have line management responsibility for Finance, HR and Operations. The Finance and Operations Director will:

• Provide overall finance leadership to ActionAid International (AAI), by coordinating the development of federation wide financial policies, standards and guidelines, supporting implementation and compliance mechanisms for monitoring, managing the accountability requirements for regulatory compliance.
• Have oversight and leadership to internal audit; ensuring that internal financial controls; a financial reporting system, implementing processes and procedures are established and adhered to creating appropriate financial governance.
• Lead in the significant improvement on key systems and provide oversight and ensure proper usage of Federation core processes.
• Manage General Secretariat (GS) finances enabling the GS to operate effectively and efficiently
