SALARY : R132 399 per annum

CENTRE : Kimberley Hospital & West End Specialised Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : A Grade 12 certificate / equivalent qualification with 0-2 years’ experience or Grade 10 certificate / equivalent with 5-10 years’ experience. N4 – N6 or tertiary qualification will be an advantage. Proven client focus and orientation experience. Sound interpersonal skills. Honesty and integrity. Basic Computer Literacy and Numeracy. Good written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work extended hours including Public Holidays, weekends and shifts are critical as this institution is rendering a 24-hour service. A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. Applicants must be Able to work under pressure and be dedicated to his/her work. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

DUTIES : The ability to maintain acceptable standards of accuracy on routine administrative tasks and to meet deadlines for routine administration. The ability to demonstrate work speed, correctness, quality and drive. The ability to operate equipment at the required standard. To plan and priorities work in accordance with the core business of the unit. He/she must be able to skillfully interact with employees on all levels. Liaise with multi-disciplinary team and all referral points in writing and verbally. Collect statistics and compile written reports. Type internal memos and patients’ letters. Filing of patients’ results, letters and other correspondence. Collect and summarize relevant information for periodical reports. Make bookings for admissions and assist in execution of discharge plan. Trace incoming and outgoing post. Do orderings /requisitions of supplies and equipment. Performing any duties as delegated.

2. ADMINISTRATIVE CLERK X 4 (PATIENT ADMINISTRATION)

REF NO: HEALTH/KHC/1555 SALARY : R132 399 per annum

CENTRE : Kimberley Hospital

REQUIREMENTS : Must be in possession of a grade 12 or 10 or equivalent certificate with at least 5years’ experience; Must be self-driven and Computer literate. Planning and organizing, Computer literacy, Good verbal and written communication. Applicants must be able to work under pressure and in a team. Have the ability to maintain acceptable standards of accuracy on routine administrative tasks and to meet deadlines for routine administration. The ability to demonstrate work speed, correctness, quality and drive. He/ She must be able to skillfully interact with employees on all levels, maintain a high level of confidentiality and must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

DUTIES : Accurate and complete assessment, classification and admission of patients on the Hospital Information System (HIS) and in line with Uniform Patient fees Schedule (UPFS); Optimal collection of revenue from Externally funded and Subsidized patients; Ensure an effective Record keeping of all patients’ records. He/ She will be responsible for the Organizing of documents i.e. retrieving and filing of patients folders, destroying of patients folders according to the Archives Act and capturing of data. Function as a team leader or assist with supervision of general non-clinical responsibilities at lower levels.
