The Faculty of Health Sciences invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for appointment to a 50%, one-year position as Administrative Assistant in the Faculty of Health Sciences Research Office
Brief Description
Responsibilities:
Ø Advertising Postgraduate courses and taking bookings for courses through email and internet, arranging audiovisual requirements, catering and printing all course material.
Ø Liaising with departments regarding postgraduate students information.
Ø Maintaining distribution lists and data bases for postgraduate students, receiving invoices of all bookings due e.g. payments by students.
Ø Providing assistance in the administration of Postgraduate Hub activities, Research Day arrangements, Prestigious Research Lectures and any other projects undertaken by the Faculty Research Office.
Ø Coordinate and take minutes for Research Coordinators meetings, receive, collate and edit all research related announcements on a weekly basis (PowerPoint displays and electronic screens).
Qualifications and experience:
Ø Minimum of 4 years administrative experience in a similar environment.
Ø Excellent typing and minute taking skills
Ø MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).
