Archives Services
SALARY : R196 278 – R231 210 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to
sign a performance agreement
CENTRE : National Office: Pretoria

REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science and Information Management or National
Diploma in Archival studies/ Records Management or NQF level 6 qualification in
the related field; At least 2 years experience in an Archive environment;
Knowledge of the National Archives and Records Service Act; Public Service Act
and Regulations; Knowledge of Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).
Skills and Competencies: Communication skills (written and verbal); Computer
skills (Ms Office); Analytical skills; Interpretation skills; Problem solving skills.

DUTIES : Key Performance Areas: Render archives services to both internal and external
clients; Identify and evaluate materials to be kept in archives due for destruction;
Implement and manage retention and disposal procedures; Maintain filling
system; Provide effective people management.
