We are pleased to announce a new internship position has been created to help forge ahead with these endeavors at HQ.

As a year-round participant-driven social movement, AfrikaBurn seeks to activate communities through creative projects and programmes that create new opportunities.

Purpose

To support the Creative Development and Outreach portfolios to actualize and monitor the impact of creative and community activities and projects.

Responsibilities

  • General administrative and clerical support including preparation of documents, data capture, diary management and minute taking.
  • Beneficiary, participant and partner liaison
  • Financial record keeping and preparation for reporting
  • Data collection, analysis and preparation for reporting
  • Event and logistics coordination.

Requirements Minimum

  • Matric Written and verbal skills in English and Afrikaans
  • Computer literacy specifically MS Word, Excel and Power Point – test may be given
  • Qualities – detail oriented, multi-tasker, team player, able to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness for occasional travel/weekend/after-hours work.
  • Available for AfrikaBurn “Working Title” 23-29 April Interest in arts and community development
  • Previous NGO experience desirable.
