Job Title: IT Administrator & Support
The IT Administrator is responsible for managing the company’s computer infrastructure, software and hardware applications, company data management as well as telephony requirements.
The IT Administrator will be upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve IT issues, and maintaining networks and servers. Also responsible for identifying new technologies that could enhance the computer and telephony systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
IT Administrator Responsibilities:
Monitoring and maintaining networks and servers (patching LAN cables).
Engaging and co-ordinating IT and telephony requirements with external Service Providers as and when required.
Upgrading, installing and configuring new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
Implementing security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
Manage and administer UPS requirements.
Provide IT security awareness on a regular basis.
Creating user accounts and performing access control.
Prepare and save access control reports in company data folder
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize computer systems.
Documenting processes, as well as backing up and archiving data.
Developing data retrieval and recovery procedures.
Manage IT On-boarding of new starts.
Manage logins of computer systems (eg. Vincere, Adapt, Pnet, CareerJunction, VIP, Sage and any other system that the company may use).
Manage IT Exits of staffing leaving the company’s employment.
Obtaining quotations for any new IT or Telephony requirements.
Obtaining quotations for any IT or Telephony maintenance requirements.
Managing and co-ordinating all new purchases and / or maintenance.
Manage and co-ordinate any IT and Telephony Insurance claims and / or matters.
Ensure that all equipment is issued in accordance with the latest issuance forms and terms and conditions.
Communicate and update IT and telephony policies and procedures as and when required.
Update the IT and telephony asset registers.
Maintain hardcopy and electronic files for all equipment issuances.
Update the IT and telephony details with the company’s insurance company on a monthly basis.
Ensure that the server room is always clean and clutter-free.
Implementing and co-ordinating a daily fault logging and error reporting systems.
Implementing and co-ordinating an effective end-user experience feedback system.
Providing IT support and assistance.
Moodle administration as per allocated authority.
Website administration as per allocated authority.
HelloSign administration as per allocated authority
Keeping up to date with advancements and best practices in IT administration.
Manage and/or co-ordinate projects as and when required.
Monitoring of CCTV as per requirements
Manage Office 365 Administration Portal
Network Printer management (clearing of paper jams and replacing toners, etc)
Manage any other electronic office equipment (door access, etc.)
Change alarm code on a monthly basis
Desired Experience & Qualification:
At least two years’ experience in a similar role.
Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration and system security
Preferably Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar qualification.
