Agricultural Graduate Trainee

A local agricultural trading company based in Pretoria is looking for a bright, intelligent, bilingual male or female graduate (Bsc or Bcom Agri, International trade etc) Little to no work experience is required for this role, we are looking for candidates that are newly qualified and have excellent academic records.

It would be preferable if the candidate has completed the SAFEX exams.

The suitable candidate should be a quick thinker and have the ability to function under pressure and think on his/her feet. The ideal candidate will also be excellent at making and forging relationships with clients and customers and have an outgoing personality.

Intellectual skills include the ability to analyse Excel spreadsheets and excellent numerical ability.

Excellent understanding of the grain and oil seeds market either through personal experience, research or personal contacts in the market and must display a PASSION for agricultural commodity trading.

In the first year the successful candidate will be trained in all aspects of agricultural trading from the logistics and forwarding through to the administration and support of the trade.

In order to select the most suitable candidate we will be screening for candidates who have excellent academic track records and good leadership skills and who have all round achievements (Head boy, sports captain, prefect etc).
