Omnia’s Agriculture division, the market leader in southern Africa, comprises Omnia Fertilizer and Omnia Specialities. The division produces granular, liquid and speciality fertilizers for a broad customer base of farmers, co-operatives and wholesalers throughout southern and East Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. The division is expanding its influence in Europe, South America and Asia, where it is increasing its sales of speciality products. A minimum of a BSc (Agric) with Botany and Soil science or majoring in Agronomy
Experience Previous, similar experience will be a definite advantage.
• Provide professional fertilization and agronomic advice to farming enterprises • Provide strategic support to Omnia representatives/agents • Work in close cooperation with Omnia Regional Management • Function as an integral part
of and be central to the Omnia Marketing model.
Job Competencies Requirements:
• A minimum of a BSc (Agric) with Botany and Soil Science or majoring in Agronomy • Sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical products with fertilization recommendations in mind • Excellent language skills (verbal and written) • Presentation skills • Computer literacy • Interest in a dynamic marketing environment • Good grasp of the concepts of “client needs” and “adding value”.
• Several agronomist positions are available • The areas are: Kwazulu-Natal, Free State, the Eastern Highveld and Eastern Cape (technical representative) • Candidates should be familiar with crops in the areas •
