AIG Recruits Engineering Technician

Position Description
Manage all administrative functions within the Engineering Team and providing liason / co ordination between Underwriters and Engineers where necessay

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operations
• Log survey requests onto AuSum or GRASP (once implemented)
• Allocate surveys to Engineers as per authority levels
• Ensure even spread of workload between Engineers
• Ensure Survey Reports written up and sent to UW within 30 days
• Ensure that AuSum tickets are closed
• Allocate requests for Desk Top Reviews on Third Party Surveys to Engineers
• Ensure that Risk Recommendations are followed up and co ordinate feedback between client / broker / UW and Engineer
• Arrange Travel – Flights / Car Hire and Accommodation locally and through out Africa for Engineers
• Ensure VISAs obtained timeously for out of country travel
• Ensure that location information is kept up to date so that we understand resourcing requirements are met to meet the Loss Engineering Guidelines and ensuring that the correct accounts have Account Summary Reports
• Assist with booking appointments with Clients for field surveys
• Manage the expense budget and track travel costs
• Ensure that UW’s issue invoices for Engineering Fees and follow up for payments
• Monitor Engineer Fees to be paid by AIG for Third Party Surveys, ensuring that the scope of work has been met prior to payment
• Track Engineering Fees paid and Engineer Fees received
• Liase / Co Ordinate functions between Underwriters and Engineers
• Manage co ordination between AIG Engineers and Marsh Risk Consulting
• Manage CRESTA Report quarterly
• New Business and Quote Tracking Reports
• Track UW submissions to COE
