The following skills and experience, or the equivalent of such, will be required:
The successful candidate must be in possession of a relevant Bachelor Degree, preferably a law degree supported by a minimum of 6 years professional experience as a Deputy Company Secretary or in the company secretariat environment for approximately 10 years.
A professional qualification from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators SA (ICSA) is an added advantage.
This position requires someone with strong management and administrative skills and in-depth knowledge of Corporate Governance Principles, relevant Codes and Legislation, particularly the Companies Act, Public Finance Management Act and King III.
Quality Management and Presentation are viewed as critical in this role.
Knowledge and experience of MS Office applications is required.

This position requires a highly ethical and diplomatic individual with good interpersonal skills and proven ability to lead and promote a team environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong drive to constantly achieve within a highly pressurized environment whilst maintaining focus on customer service and remain composed. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills and problem solving skills combined with unquestionable decision making and negotiation ability. The successful candidate will portray outstanding planning ability and will know how to monitor work.
